'Harper Lee: American Masters'
on PBS.
The story
'To Kill a Mockingbird'
is considered fiction,
but based upon her life.
Harper Lee with actress who played
'Scout'.

a lawyer, worked in.
The one in the movie looks exactly like it.

I have seen the movie
'To Kill a Mockingbird'
many times,
It is one of my favorite movies.
Why?
The kindness, gentility, integrity...
and the poetry.
The movie is very true to the book, they said.
It is interesting to note that it was rejected by 10 publishers!!!

I highly recommend the movie,
and the American Masters production.
I have decided to read the book now.
; )
Here's a little peek into the movie.
Harper Lee did not publish any other books after this one.
Within the past few years, a publisher discovered
a manuscript of another book that Harper Lee wrote,
close to the same time she wrote TKAM in the early 1960's.
It was in a vault somewhere.
It had been rejected.
It was published recently!
It is based on the same characters, just years later.
I am curious, so maybe I'll read that one, too!
In the spirit of the topic,
here is one of my most favorite songs
that Paul McCartney wrote and performed.
Although, this is Sarah Mclachlan.
This is my favorite version of the song.

(sigh)
Love it.
I hope you have a wonderful week,
my little chickadees.
Sending lots of positive vibes your way,
and waiting for Spring to
come around that corner!
Love to you all,
xoxo

You know, I've never seen or read TKAM. I've had good intentions and have seen bits and pieces of the movie but because of interruptions from one source, or another, watching the movie has just never come to pass. Hopefully someday...........
