William Carlos Williams

He's one of my favorites.  ; )
His simple poems really ring my bell.

POEM  (as the cat)

As the cat
climbed over
the top of

the jamcloset
first the right
forefoot

carefully
then the hind
stepped down
into the pit of
the empty
flowerpot

This is Just To Say

I have eaten

the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

The Red Wheelbarrow

so much depends
upon
a red wheel
barrow
glazed with rain
water
beside the white
chickens.

Young Woman At A Window

She sits with

tears on
her cheek
her cheek on
her hand
the child
in her lap
his nose
pressed
to the glass

Lark Ascending.
Sounds like a possible WCW poem.  ; )

Hope your Friday is
filled with joy,
joy,
joy. ; )

Love to all of you
beautiful,
lissome
friends and family.
