My Mom's in Paradise

I know my blog is usually filled
with
happy, silly, fun stuff.
Cuz that's just the kind of
girl I am.
; )

But......
my family lost our mother
on Feb. 18th.

(isn't she beautiful)

I want to celebrate my mom.
She taught us so much about
goodness, love, care of others,
sunshine and joy
and so much more.

This is one of her favorite hymns.
I love and believe every word
of it.
It has become one of
mine as well.

Love at Home

There is beauty all around

When there’s love at home;

There is joy in ev’ry sound
When there’s love at home.

Peace and plenty here abide,
Smiling sweet on ev’ry side.
Time doth softly, sweetly glide
When there’s love at home.

Love at home, love at home;
Time doth softly, sweetly glide
When there’s love at home.

 In the cottage there is joy
When there’s love at home;

Hate and envy ne’er annoy
When there’s love at home.

Roses bloom beneath our feet;
All the earth’s a garden sweet,

Making life a bliss complete
When there’s love at home.

Love at home, love at home;
Making life a bliss complete
When there’s love at home.

Kindly heaven smiles above
When there’s love at home;

All the world is filled with love
When there’s love at home.

Sweeter sings the brooklet by;
Brighter beams the azure sky.
Oh, there’s One who smiles on high
When there’s love at home.

Love at home, love at home;
Oh, there’s One who smiles on high
When there’s love at home.

Text and music: John Hugh McNaughton, 1829–1891

This is mom playing with
a great grand baby.

Family is just the best.

We are all imperfect,
yet,
a family's love can
heal all.
I have that in my family.
I am so grateful.

Here's my mom
swiping a taste of her chocolate cake
at a family reunion.
This makes me giggle
and smile.

And yes,
it makes me want to
sing and dance.

30 seconds isn't enough, I know.
But it's free.  ; )
Isn't she just so beautiful and wonderful.
I know she is happy in Paradise.
She's with dad, and her parents, her
brother and sisters,
and all of her loved ones.
Oh happy day.

Love to all you
little
moms and daughters and sons out there.
It's a day to treasure
your loved ones.
